Julius / by Caitlin Trickett

Blog 4/7

The first time I met Julius was at a coffee shop in downtown Conway. He came in wearing a salmon-colored blazer with the biggest afro I'd ever seen, portfolio in hand. His look and demeanor caught the eye of every person in the place and I immediately knew that this was going to be fun.

Julius is part Native American and heralds from Louisiana. I contacted him to model for me back in August for a "themed" photoshoot and he was all about it. All I gave him was a chopped up 'mood board' and he ran with it by bringing a back seat full of clothes on the day of the photoshoot. I wish we had had 4 more hours to go through all of the pieces he'd brought!

I somehow convinced the mega-talented Errick Jacson to come along with us to grab some shots from his point of view. He's a photographer based in Central Arkansas and his portfolio is insane!

The shoot was nothing short of awesome AND I managed to make a couple of friends that I'm anxious to work with again in the near future. Here are some of my favorite shots of Julius:
