"I'll go back to Manhattan its just a train ride away, I know nothin' bout leaving but I know I should do it today"

Day 03 was just as wonderful as the two before it! We woke up just in time for a bit of breakfast and then caught a cab to the south side of Manhattan to see the amazing 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Afterwards we took a trip up to Columbia University to take a walk around the beautiful campus.

DAY 03:  9/11 Memorial & Museum  l  Columbia University  l  New Jersey

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum was incredible. From the museum itself to all of the exhibits that it housed the effort to preserve everything about that day is amazing. It had everything from 3 story structural elements (above) taken from the Towers to a tiny Metro Pass. This is a must-see. Just...wow.

Taking the Subway uptown to Columbia University! I was able to successfully convince the family that the University's campus was a must-see; I think they would agree.

One of the two libraries of Columbia University. Couldn't get in to look around:  private school problems.

And of course Sydney and I had to take a few photos while on site. This was a fun one!

The only thing I regret about the entire trip is not grabbing myself a Columbia sweatshirt. Shame.

So there you have it; our adventure in the big city! After having returned from Columbia University we caught the subway back to the hotel, packed it up, and headed across the way to Jersey for the night. As difficult as it was to leave New York City I was glad to finally make it back to the Ozarks. I hope it's not another 2 years before I get to make another return visit to this wonderfully beautiful crazy place :)  I <3 NY

I would like to thank my parents for this great experience. It was every bit as wonderful as I would have hoped and then some. You guys are the greatest!

Thank you for taking a look! Hope you enjoyed it.....
